Musicians Welcome

Become a Scottish Country Dance Musician!

Would you like to add Scottish to your repertoire?

Can you play at dance speed?

Can you read music? Or learn by ear from a recording?

Tartan & Thistle Scottish Country Dancers welcome musicians who would like to learn the Scottish style while playing for our Monday night class.

During the school year we meet 7:30 – 9:30 in Ann Arbor. There is no pay at the moment, but we hope there might be some opportunities for paying gigs in the future.

Scottish dance music consists of fast jigs and reels, and also strathspeys, a slower and more ornamented style.
