Coach Rogers

Jeff Rogers is a former high school and collegiate All-American high jumper who has enjoyed tremendous success while coaching high schoolers at Saint Mary’s in Berkeley, CA.  As an athlete, Coach Rogers set the CCS record, clearing 7’3”, which ranks 5th all-time amongst California high-schoolers.  As a collegiate, he was an All-American who set the CAL school record at 7’5¾”, which places him 7th on the all-time PAC-10 list.  After college, Coach Rogers competed professionally, participating in national, international and Olympic Trial competitions. As a coach, Rogers has tutored the likes of 2000 CA State Champion Ebon Glenn (7’0”), 2004 CA State Champion Ed Wright (7’0”), 2009 and 2010 NCS Champion Maurice Spikes (6’9”), 2 time NCS Champion Spring Harris (5’8”), 2003 NCS Champion Riana Shaw (5’8”), 2009 State Finalist Aziza Baker (5’6”) and co-school record holder Briahn Brown (5'8").   Additionally, Coach Rogers has been a fixture in and around the Northern California track and field community, delivering seminars and clinics to high school and junior college coaches and athletes.  Coach Rogers is in his 27th year at Saint Mary’s, where he teaches A.P. U.S. History, A.P. Government & Politics, and Public Policy.
