The Global Walk for a Livable World so powerfully impacted my life that I felt almost compelled to write about it. A book seemed to be the best way to share a bit of that extraordinary experience with others. So, while I can’t deny dreaming now and then of a bestseller, profit was not the motive that drove this effort. I did my best to keep project costs down, but remained unwilling to sacrifice either the eco-friendly paper or the color photos. The book price recoups only out-of-pocket expenses—it includes no profit or payment for my time.
