This is my 1st year as a reading specialist at Shiloh Hills and 20th year teaching at Wilson. Prior to this, I was a reading specialist at Spring Ridge for 10 years and a 6th grade classroom teacher at Cornwall Terrace. I currently work with students in kindergarten - 3rd grade. I split my teaching time between working with individual students in Reading Recovery and Title I students in small groups. I also help analyze data and provide professional development to staff.
I graduated from Penn State in 1998 with a degree in Administration of Justice. I worked as Juvenile Probation Officer for the County of Berks until 2000 when I returned to Alvernia University to earn my teaching certificate. I began working at Wilson in 2002 as a classroom teacher. I earned my Masters of Reading and Reading Specialist certificate from Kutztown University in 2007. Then in 2014, I earned my Reading Recovery certification from Shippensburg University. I earned an Instructional Coaching endorsement from Kutztown University.
