School Counseling Program Vision Statement:

All students at Susan B. Anthony Academy will graduate with a growth Mindset, high emotional intelligence, and readiness to succeed in high school academically, socially/ emotionally, and in postsecondary planning.

School Counseling Program Mission Statement:

The mission of the Susan B. Anthony Academy School Counseling Program is to provide ALL students high quality comprehensive school counseling services in a safe space using psychoeducation and evidence-based interventions including trauma-informed approach, healing-centered approach, culturally sensitive approach, decolonizing counseling, restorative practices, strength-based approach, solution-focused approach, emotional freedom techniques-tapping, motivational interviewing, and evidence-based coaching. As well, as working in partnership with parents, families, teachers, all school staff, community-based organizations, and our Hollis, Queens- Community to help our students succeed academically, emotionally/ socially, and in postsecondary planning.
