REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
Registration closes December 1, 2024. Complete registration packages are due.
As we begin the journey of planning an in-person festival, we realize that every school is faced with unique challenges. We also recognize that every band program continues to rebuild . We are requesting that one of your two sections at your level (e.g. B100, B200) be selected from the MusicFest Canada Syllabus (links on the left)
Using the time limits (rather than number of pieces) B100: 15 minutes, B200:20 minutes, B300:25 minutes, this will include your warmup and setup.
A warmup room will be provided immediately before your performance time. You will have 45 minutes on stage (pending level of performance). This INCLUDES setup, warmup, performance and adjudication. The performance area is the same area for the adjudication. To ensure things move as smoothly as possible, we are using the above as a guideline for performance times. Movement on/off stage, percussion setup, ensemble introduction, and length of pieces can all impact the length of adjudication.
Payment invoices will be emailed out to each participating group once we have created the performance schedule. A completed registration package must be received.
A complete registration package includes the following:
Entry fee of $290 per ensemble (cheques payable to OSS)
Photo fee of $85 per ensemble (chequs payable to OSS) - includes formal and many candid shots
Stage Plot & Repertoire list (will be emailed following registration) due January 15, 2024)
Refund Policy
If you must withdraw from the festival after submitting registration, we will do our best to fill your spot from the wait list. After January 15, 2024, we cannot offer a refund of the registration fee unless a replacement ensemble can be found. We also cannot guarantee a make-up time in case of bad weather and/or bus cancellations.
