For Prospective Members

National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes the best and brightest students in schools across the nation. It is one of the highest honors that high school students can attain.

In order to qualify for membership in Saydel’s Eagle Chapter of National Honor Society, students must be at least a sophomore and must have a minimum GPA of at least 3.25. Eligible students are notified via letter in February of each year and are encouraged to submit applications for consideration by a committee of staff members. When considering each of the applicants, committee members take into consideration NHS’s four pillars of character, scholarship, leadership and service. Students who have been chosen to be inducted into NHS are then notified of their selection and are formally inducted in an induction ceremony in March.
