Overview of the Clipper Academy Summer Program
Clipper Academy is an opportunity for students in grades 8-12 to advance their education during the summer.
Clipper Academy offers students a variety of options to explore interests, grow as learners, recover credit, and extend learning throughout the summer months.
Clipper Academy offers THREE options for learning:
RECOVERY: This option is for students who have failed any graduation requirement and need to recover credit.
ADVANCEMENT: This option is for students who are interested in getting ahead of credit requirements to make room for other courses within their schedule.
ENRICHMENT: This option is for students who would like to take courses over the summer that are not credit-bearing.

A certified summer teacher will work with students during assigned sessions to navigate the course in which they are enrolled. The assigned teacher will assess each student's strengths and establish learning goals together.

Note: These courses are contingent on staffing & enrollment.
An academic coach will guide you through taking a VLACS (Virtual Learning Academy) course to achieve your goals and advance your credits. This includes the onboarding process and personalized coaching throughout the summer sessions. Students will create a consistent meeting schedule with the academic coach to complete the full VLACS course.
