Week 5- Journal

Ideation

Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What inspired you? (Please include images or links to sources of inspiration)

the assignment is to Design, simulate, and build a simple electronic device that performs two actions. The device may serve a need at your home, or just fun to build!

I care about this idea because I like the Idea of using recycled material to build a new thing, especially a device like a fan.

Tool Chain

Which software/machines/materials did you use in the assignment? Why?

DC Motor

Buzzer

jumper wires

Resistor

Adapter 5v

old plastic bottle

Mini Breadboard

Arduino IDE

GLUE GUN

Design/Preparation Process

Explain the design and/or preparation process of your assignment. How did you use the tool or software to design and/or prepare your assignment before fabrication/implementation?

Step (1): I started placing the Power Source into the Circuit and I chose 5V Power Source because I need to add a buzzer and DC Motor, which will not need more than 5V.

Step (2): I added the buzzer to the Circuit.

Step (3): I added the DC Motor

to the Circuit and connect it to the power source and the buzzer in parallel.

Step (4): I added an On/off switch

to the Circuit and connect it.

Simulation of the device's Circuit

I added the motor to the circuit in a parallel connection to ensure that the motor is in its best condition and tested it with the Buzzer.

The parallel connection is better as the used voltage is the same in all branches, if one component burns the other branches will be working and the total resistance in parallel is less than the smallest resistance in the circuit.

Development/Implementation Process

Explain the development/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

1 -  I built my circuit's actual components  ( as tinkercad circuits)  and tested

2 - then I made the enclosure I used Recycled cardboard and  Recycled plastic then  I opened places for the components

and finally, we have this Noisy Fan

Overcoming Challenges

What kinds of challenges or problems did you face while doing the assignment, tutorials, or exercises?  How did you solve them? Did you ask for help from an instructor or peer? Please provide a link to the tutorial or article that you used to solve your problem (if any)

The problem I faced was that the buzzer was so quiet after I assembled the device in the beginning and I had to reconnect it again in another place in the same breadboard ( move it from pin to another pin in the breadboard ) and reassemble the device again

Final Project

How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?

By this week I KNEW many different components and I can build real circuits also can build layout circuits in tinkercad.

WOW!

What is the coolest thing that you've learned this week? What is something that you will never forget from this week?

My team won the cars sumo fight :)
