Week V - Journal
Ideation
Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What inspired you? (Please include images or links to sources of inspiration)
Title of Media
buzz wire game I found it on google and it's an iteresting game in this game we have to move the small ring across the large wire without touching the wire or the buzzer will ring and the led will light on
Tool Chain
Which software/machines/materials did you use in the assignment? Why?
cardboard
wax gun
cutter
and kind of reformable metal wire
bread board
crocodile wire
male - male jumper wire
Buzzer
on/off switch
220 ohm resistor
red LED
adapter 5V
Design/Preparation Process
Explain the design and/or preparation process of your assignment. How did you use the tool or software to design and/or prepare your assignment before fabrication/implementation?
Title of Media
1- positive of the power source to positive bridge
2- from +ve bridge to common terminal of the slider switch
3- from the terminal of the switch to one of the vertical bridges and at the same bridge connect the Anode of the Buzzer and one terminal from the resistor
4- connect the resistor in series connection with the LED ( the other terminal of the resistor with the Anode of the LED)
5- connect the cathode of the power source to any vertical empty bridge
6- connect the cathode of the Buzzer and of the LED with the bridge connected to the cathode of the power source
7- test the circuit by starting the simulation
simulation of the circuit in tinkercad
split this wire into two terminals one of them will be connected to the fixed wire and the other with be connected to the moving wire in the game
Development/Implementation Process
Explain the development/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?
1- sketch the circuit on paper to be in parallel connection to make the save the same voltage to both paths and to divide the current between them
2- simulate the circuit on tinkercad
cut the pieces of the box from the cardboard
assemble all parts using wax gun
prepare all parts needed to build the game and a 5v adapter because according to the datasheet of buzzer needs voltage between 4 to 9 v and led its max voltage is 2.5 v
connect the circuit as explained before then fix the wire in the box and close the box
Overcoming Challenges
What kinds of challenges or problems did you face while doing the assignment, tutorials, or exercises? How did you solve them? Did you ask for help from an instructor or peer? Please provide a link to the tutorial or article that you used to solve your problem (if any)
1- I forget to check the orientations of the polarity of the LED and buzzer many times while I was connecting the circuit which causes they are not working then I started to put polarity into consideration
2- finding suitable material to form the wire of the game till I found a metal wire that can be formed into curves to increase the challenge of the game
Final Project
How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?
testing the function of the final product ( BUZZ Wire Game)
finsal product
WOW!
What is the coolest thing that you've learned this week? What is something that you will never forget from this week?
