We want you on the adventure regardless of what you want to do. NORTH of the Ordinary only happens when we work together, all of us! The planning team is starting to take shape, and we need you! Below you can find the positions currently advertised, and these will be updated regularly.

Marketing & Communication Department

VIDEO TEAM

Are you passionate about capturing unforgettable moments on camera? Are you the go-to person in your friend group for documenting the most hilarious and memorable experiences? Well, we have an exciting opportunity for you!


The video team of Roverway 2024 is currently seeking skilled videographers who can both film and create captivating videos that truly embody the "RW-spirit". As the Video-team is a part of the Marketing & Communications department, you'll have the chance to collaborate with other teams and showcase your creative talents.


You should be able to commit one or two hours per month for meetings and planning, as well as be available for the entire camp week from July 22nd to August 1st. It's important that you have your own equipment.

DESIGN TEAM

Are you ready to unleash your creativity and shape the very essence of Roverway 2024? If you're up for the challenge, join the Design team!


The Design team of Roverway 2024 is searching for individuals with great ideas and experience in graphic design and/or animation. In a small and cozy team, you can develop your design skills and truly influence the visual identity of Roverway 2024. From branding and signage to merchandise and animations, the Design team covers it all.


You should be able to dedicate one or two hours per week to the role and have a good understanding of Adobe software.

TECHNICAL GROUP FOR THE MAIN STAGE

Get ready to be a part of creating the most incredible stage show at Roverway! Join our technical group at the main stage!

We're looking for individuals to fill various key roles including vision mixer, producer, sound engineer, AV technician, and translation specialist for our major shows. Passion for the role is a must, and having some experience in the field is a significant advantage.


This is a volunteer position. In some of the roles you should be able to commit at least three hours per month for meetings and planning in a few months before the camp, as well as be available at the campsite from 20th July to 2th August 2024.

PRESS AND WEBSITE TEAM

Are you a storyteller who wants to tell the stories of 5000 rovers exploring, growing, and creating friendships out of the ordinary? Keep reading - we have exciting opportunities for you!


Website developer and designer

Our team is currently working on the development and design of a new and more intricate website that will be used both before, under and after Roverway. We are seeking to expand this team, and therefore searching for webcoders and web designers to continue working on this project. 


Writers

As a writer at Roverway 2024, your words will bring to life their journeys of exploration, growth, and friendship. Do you have some experience writing, would love to learn more and are able to work both by yourself and together in a team? Writes will create stories for our camp newspaper, webpage and help out with texts in other teams and departments where your skills are valued. 


Rest assured - you will not be working only by yourself. In a small team you will be able to give and receive feedback on others and your work, as well as having a great time together. 


Translators

Do you want to play a crucial role in Roverway's success? Are you committed to ensuring information is communicated clearly and effectively? We are looking for you! 


We are seeking individuals that are adept in both English and French writing to assist in translation of documents from all departments. This will include newsletters, informational posters, program materials, and scene manuscripts.


You will be working both by yourself and together in teams. 


Radio/Podcast Manager

Do you have a dream of hosting your own podcast? Do you love live radio? Bring all your ideas, enthusiasm and creativity to us - welcome to our team as a radio/podcast manager! 


With technical assistance from our Live Productions team your dream can become a reality. We are looking for someone that can take the full responsibility for planning out sessions, manuscript, hosts and guests to create a radio/podcast truly out of the ordinary!



These are volunteer positions, and you will be a part of Roverways Marketing and Communications department. Our department consists of approximately 30 volunteers from various countries. Most of the work is happening online. We've put a lot of thought into designing engaging and social online sessions to ensure that distance doesn't diminish the enthusiasm within our team.


You should be able to dedicate one or two hours per week to the role, as well as be available for the entire camp week from 22 July to 1 August 2024.

Food Department

FOOD DEPOTS

Do you love spreadsheets? Do you enjoy having a tidy environment around you? Are you passionate about coordinating matters involving many individuals? Welcome to our team - we're excited to get to know your sharp self!


There will be two main physical depots for food during the main camp in Stavanger. Skeie school will host the main storage where our vendors and partners will deliver directly to. From there the food will be transported to a tent hall centrally located at the campsite. It is at this tent where participating patrols will pick up food.
We need clever people who want to help out coordinating the food depots. Tasks consist of everything from organizing the logistics from the school to the tent and creating a system for storage to negotiation with our supplier located at the campsite, where the participants will get their food.

STAFF CANTEEN

Can you help us boil one liter of coffee per minute? Would you love providing good service, and make sure that Roverway’s wonderful staff members get a break from their duties while refueling their batteries? Keep reading! 


Our staff canteen will host planning team members and IST’s and serve them a well deserved meal. Tasks consist of planning a menu for our staff, requesting the necessary food from your fellow food depot colleagues and operating the canteen during the camp.


While prior experience in a commercial kitchen is a plus, it's not a strict requirement. If you're enthusiastic about establishing efficient food preparation routines day and night, as well as making sure that we can boil one liter of coffee per minute, we welcome you to join our team!


INTERNAL CONTROLS

Are you dedicated to upholding impeccable food hygiene standards? Join our team as an Internal Controls Inspector and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our food services.


With responsibility for food comes the responsibility of making sure that the food hygiene is kept to high standards. In order to control our serving places we need a small team of people who can act as inspectors to make sure that the food routines are obeyed. You will create routines for inspection of food depots, cafées and point of sales.
