To be eligible for the Delta program...

  • Students must be 16 years old as of June 30th
  • Students must be at a grade 9 level of study
  • Students must adhere to the admissions process

Three simple steps...

  • Attend one of Delta's Open Houses / Info sessions
  • Write assessment test to determine study level
  • Schedule interview with Delta Teachers to determine if Delta is the right place for you

  • History Sec 4 - 4 credits
  • English Sec 4 - 6 credits
  • Math CST 4 - 4 credits
  • Options Sec 4 - 4 credits

Flexible Scheduling...

  • Flexibility encourages students to self-regulate
  • Incorporating frequent breaks encourages students to increases the productivity of time spent in class!

Annual Calendar

  • Our program runs from September-June to allow students more time to complete their courses successfully and earn their credits.
  • Monthly activities/ outings build a sense of community and promote "real-world" experiences.

Low Student-Teacher Ratio

  • We believe that establishing positive and strong student-teacher relationships is key for a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Being two teachers, we strive to meet the diverse needs of all our students so that no one is left out or left behind.

Varied Remediation...

  • Weekly small group sessions for English with in house tutor and Literacy Unlimited volunteer
  • Weekly small group sessions for Math (in house tutor)
  • In class Integration Aid to offer additional support


Collaboration with Community Organizations

  • Weekly sessions with the LOVE Program
  • Regular visits from local Police Officers, Nurses, Social Workers, Guest Speakers etc. to address essential topics that fall outside the curriculum.
