Interactive Media Intelligent Technology Concepts for Basic Programming Learning Successfully Published in IEEE Xplore Digital Library

Research on the concept of intelligent interactive media technology for basic programming learning by embedding open-posing and problem-solving type of problem-posing learning models in the interaction flow has been successfully published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. This article was presented at The 5th IEEE ICVEE 2020 at UNESA, Surabaya. The research is collaborating with lecturers at Brawijaya University and Professors at Hiroshima University. It is hoped that this innovation, it can make it easier for learners to learn basic programming with the interactions offered from the intelligent interactive media. View Article.

The Chair of the IMGM Research Group as Visiting Teacher in Support of the Center of Excellence Program in VHS

On November 17, 2020, the Chair of the IMGM Research Group (Aulia Akhrian Syahidi, M.Kom.) was invited to become a guest speaker and teacher to support the Center of Excellence (COE) Program of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia. SMK Negeri 2 Banjarmasin was successfully selected as one of the schools that received assistance to become COE in the creative economy in the animation sector. The topic presented by the Chair of the IMGM Research Group was about the Opportunities for the World of Animation in the Future and at the same time introducing the research group and promoting the applications that have been developed. The IMGM Research Group was selected and covered by its activities as an Application and Game Developer for the Creative Economy Subsector of Banjarmasin City

On November 14, 2020, the IMGM research group was allowed to be covered by the Creative Economy Team, because as one of the applications and game developers included in the sub-sector of the creative economy in Banjarmasin City. Aulia Akhrian Syahidi, M.Kom. together with research students doing various simulations on applications and games that have been made. Akhrian himself is actually a member of the creative economy team in Banjarmasin City who is in the field of research and development (R&D).

Coordination Meeting of IMGM Research Group Members for the Academic Year 2020/2021

On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, a coordination meeting was held for members of the IMGM research group. The meeting was intended to find out what achievements have been carried out and what work has not been as well as future research programs. Furthermore, it also looks at all the potential and needs of users for application development, increasing the ability of members and scientific publications.

The Chair of the IMGM Research Group presented three research results at the IEEE ICVEE 2020

The Chair of the IMGM Research Group presented three research results at the 3rd IEEE ICVEE 2020 which was held on 3-4 October 2020 at the Zoom Online Room. Organized by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) and in collaboration with IEEE and Atlantis Press indexed by Scopus, the event was packaged in the UNESA Join International Conferences as the main session. There are three studies that were successfully accepted with the topic of interactive educational media, mobile augmented reality, and smart dustbins for smart campus environment. This article, which has been presented, will soon be processed for publication on the IEEE and Atlantis Press.

Webinar series are routinely carried out by the Informatics Study Program, Mulawarman University. This time, on September 13, 2020 at 14.00 WITA, a webinar with the theme: "Increasing the Spirit to Learn Online Lectures during the Pandemic Period" as the speaker is Aulia Akhrian Syahidi, M.Kom. Article on Analysis of Recognition of Player Patterns in Games by Using Log Data Successfully Published in the Scientific Journal of Informatics Engineering

In playing a game, the motivational factor in playing the game has a very important role in the continuity of the game mission to be completed. This study aims to report the results of player pattern recognition and the level of player motivation in a game that has been built called Ghost Traditional Game. The game instills elements of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with desktop-based Decision Tree and Finite State Machine types, consisting of ten levels with categories of ease and difficulty that have been arranged in such a way at the Game Design stage. The method used was a matching player pattern detection which was recorded using log data and motivation questionnaire technique. View Article.

IMGM Research Group Successfully Holds Webinar Sharing Session of Research Results

The IMGM Research Group has successfully held a webinar sharing session on the results of research on Mobile Augmented Reality and the Extreme Programming Method on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, which was attended by around 25 participants from Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Universitas Islam Kalimantan MAB, and Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. The reception of the participants was very good and they want to continue the webinars of other research results.

AR-Child's article was successfully published in IEEE Xplore Digital Library

This study proposes AR-assisted learning media with the method of 3D Based Tracking and audio Marker, which is used by preschool children to recognize animals and fruits in English alphabetically, then analyze, evaluate, and know the effects on their use. The Extreme Programming (XP) method is used as an application development method. Application testing is done by black box testing, testing variations between distance, angle, lighting, background, and font size of the marker, and AR-Child response time to the detection of markers by the camera for the appearance of virtual objects. An Augmented Reality Workshop was held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 15:00 - 17:00 which was attended by 45 participants from high school students of equal level, students, and lecturers both from Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin and outside South Kalimantan. View Video.

On Thursday, June 3, 2020 IAII's WEBINAR activity was held with the speaker Aulia Akhrian Syahidi, M.Kom. (Chair of the IMGM Research Group), there were 1034 registered participants and they were very enthusiastic. The moderator in the WEBINAR was Dr. Eva Handriyantini, S.Kom., M.MT. Published Collaborative Articles on Preliminary Studies in the Guide to Embed Problem-Posing Learning Models in the Flow of Smart Interactions

This research is a preliminary study that will be used to develop applications/systems/interactive media/games that will support the operation of the problem-posing learning model automatically in the upcoming basic programming class.  Read more.

IMGM Research Group Team Unravels the Internal Competitions of Student Creativity Programs at POLIBAN

On December 4, 2019 the Internal Competition of the Student Creativity Program in the Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin (POLIBAN) Multimedia Room was held, including the IMGM Research Group Team took part in the competition and won 2nd Place in PKM-M by proposing the Game-KiBah application innovation to become the main topic, Game -KiBah is a game about introducing the history of Prince Samudera (Sultan Suriansyah) by combining the genre of adventure and action, the interactions offered such as guessing words, behavior, challenges by blocking the water hyacinth, and others that show Banjarmasin's local wisdom environment.

Chair of the IMGM Research Group as a National Seminar Speaker at FKTI Mulawarman University

On November 25, 2019, which took place at the Mulawarman University Rectorate, a National Seminar was held in the framework of TECHNO FEST 2019 at the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science, Mulawarman University, East Kalimantan, Samarinda. On that occasion Aulia Akhrian Syahidi, S.Pd., M.Kom. (Chair of the IMGM Research Group) was given an invitation as a speaker on the topic of Augmented and Virtual Reality in the Internet of Things: Trends and Challenges. The event was opened by Dr. H. Fahrul Agus, M.T. (Vice Dean of Academic, Student, and Alumni), all participants were very enthusiastic in participating in the national seminar, due to the current technological trend towards AR, VR, and IoT.

Research Group Activity

The routine meetings of the IMGM research group are held every Friday at 14.00 - 17.00. Activities include training in making applications, presentations, data collection, discussions, etc., which are attended by all members of the research group and guided directly by the chair of the IMGM Research Group.
