Seesaw: Digital Multimedia Student Journals

Ms. Escoda and Ms. Bonilla's class recently used Seesaw in a supplemental activity for a Science Unit. They used Seesaw to give their students the option of submitting written or voice-recorded responses to a prompt.

Seesaw is an online platform for student digital portfolios (= student journals), which can be used by all our students (K-8). Teachers assign an activity, and students can post multimedia responses in their journal.

Students have many options as to the type of post:

Additionally, they can edit the post using several annotation tools (text captions, voice recordings, drawings).

Another plus -- Seesaw integrates well with Google Drive and Google Classroom.

Separate PDF Getting Started Guides are available for each grade level (K-8), with set-up checklists and grade-appropriate introductory lessons included.

Thank you Ms. Bonilla and Ms. Escoda for sharing your tech integration experience with the rest of our school community!
