About the Teacher

Hello and welcome to the start of an exciting new school year! This is my tenth year teaching in the Science Department here at Livingston Academy. I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology (with a concentration in Microbiology) from Tennessee Technological University. I graduated from Vanderbilt University's Allied Health Program in Medical Technology in 2001 and began my career as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. I was employed in the laboratory at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for nearly nine years. I specialized in all areas of the hospital laboratory including Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and especially Microbiology. After having my children, I decided to stay home until they began school. I received my Master's and Specialist in Education degrees from Tennessee Technological University as well. I am married to Jamie Goodpasture and both of my children attend school and play sports here in Overton County.
