I Hope You Know That I Mean No Harm

By Sade Camilien

After the darkness

the daylight shines

through.

After the showers,

the rainbow's in view.

After life's heartaches,

There comes from above,

the peace and the comfort

of God's healing love.

My School Day

By Kate Webster

The first bell starts off the day,

We take out our music and play.

English is next,

So no time to text!

Gym is third

Tweet! The whistle blows like a bird.

I’m starving! lunch is following…

Everyone is busy swallowing,

Bagels, cookies, chips and granola bars.

Then I head to science to learn about flying cars,

A black hole question suggested by me.

Technology class goes rapidly!

Creating cars powered by CO2.

Happiness

By Sabrina Rezk

Something everyone deserves.

Something most don't get.

What are the standards of happiness?

Do we need it?

Maybe not,

It's not a necessity, right?

We won't die without it, right?

But even so, I wonder, how does it feel?

The feeling of being loved, being so carefree,

Running around in a garden full of flowers with your best friend,

Believe me, I've tried.

But running around with poisonous flowers doesn't make me happy,

Pollen fills my lungs and puffs them up so I can't breathe

What have I to lose?

All these stressful things in life don't add up to a good equation.

There's no answer.

Could I be an orphan, even to God?

You Can't Write a Poem About Stealers

By Sade Camilien

Stealers they steal

and they take what

cannot be redeemed

they do what they know

might not be right but

they do it to feel right

they do it for the money

and for the emptiness

inside them they do it

to fill in the

emptiness inside

stealers they steal.

Pathway of School

Anonymous

Isn't it interesting,

In this small place that holds so many outcomes,

Every type of race.

It holds the outcomes of every type of person.

I am here, doing chemistry with future scientists,

In Health class with future doctors,

Sketching with future artists,

Solving equations with future mathematicians,

Reading with future authors,

Hanging out with a future lover,

But then again

I could also be spending every minute with a future murderer,

Someone who was so sleep deprived, thinking of plans to kill,

Someone that wouldn't exist in a few years,

They wouldn't become anything special,

They'll be future criminals or future nothing.

I can say it wasn't their fault,

But it really was,

They had time to change their paths

But stopped at a dead end intentionally

Choose the right path for better or for worse.
