About Me
Education and Background
I grew up in Brockton and attended Brockton Public Schools until 9th grade. I graduated from Coyle and Cassidy High School in 2006 and started Bridgewater State University when I realized I wanted to become a teacher. I come from a family full of teachers, past and present, and know I have found a way to share my passion of learning, reading, and writing with the world. I studied abroad at Wadham University in Oxford England which was probably the best experience of my education to date. I received my Masters of Arts in English and Creative Writing from UMass Boston in 2014. Besides my love for teaching and being part of the Norton community, I love writing poetry, cooking, baking, watching sports (mostly football, Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, etc), marathoning Netflix shows, and trying to balance my love for food with living a healthy/active life.
Teaching Experience
In 2011, I student taught in Norton with Mr. Kent Taylor and fell in love with the school, teachers, and wonderful community. I was fortunate to find a job here and start teaching in 2014. This is my TENTH year teaching at NHS and I am looking forward to being involved with incorporating Global Education into Norton through the Global Citizenship Club and Certificate Program. I am also now advising for the class of 2024.
