All about Mrs. Flagg

I've been teaching 8th grade science at NMS for fifteen years. I have a bachelor's degree in animal sciences and a master's degree in teaching both from Cornell University. I'm originally from a small town in Western New York State and have lived in New England since graduating from Cornell.

My life changed dramatically in May 2016 when my husband and I welcomed our daughter Josie into the world. She keeps us very busy and always on our toes! Josie is starting kindergarten this year and for the first time I get to expeience the parent side of school. This past June we added Eleanor to our family, a very sassy Boston Terrior puppy.

Just like my students, I enjoy learning about science. For several years now, I have taken classes (several with some of your past science teachers!) with the MITS organization, which has given me the opportunity to do a lot of interesting things, including drumming with elephants and exploring Barney's Joy Beach in Dartmouth for the living things that live in the sand and in the shallow water along the shore.
