There is no kill like overkill, and if you want some big sound from your QRP radio, this is how you get it.  For sale is a lot of 5, Philips TDA1010A Audio Amplifier ICs, in 9 pin SIP package.  Fat copper tab for heat sinking.  Turn it up to 11.

These were used in dozens of different CB and ham radios in the 1970s and 1980s in the PLL frequency synthesizer sections.  These chips use a parallel asynchronous data bus, so you can set the frequency with DIP switches or similar - no microcontroller needed!
