Be the Light Youth Theology InstituteAt Be the Light, we provide rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a week-long immersion in the faith that does justice. Through experiences in the city of Buffalo and academic sessions led by Canisius faculty and friends, we witness and study real examples of justice and injustice. Through workshops and leadership development activities, we provide the tools to identify and address similar issues wherever they may be found. Through daily prayer, faith-sharing, and sacrament, we draw spiritual strength and insight from our Catholic, Jesuit tradition to fulfill our vocation as seekers of God’s kingdom of peace and justice. Be educated. Be inspired. Be empowered. Be the Light. BTLI 2019 will occur from July 21-27, 2019. Participants will be housed on campus at Canisius. All meals will be provided.
