Athletic packet
If you did not participate in athletics at MIHS for the 2023-2024 school year, you will need to submit an athletic packet to Becky LeMaster to try out. This includes a physical with signature from a doctor (plan ahead!)

Tryout advice from the coaches
Coaches are looking for strength above all other qualities
Use Google/YouTube to start strengthening and stretching
It can take weeks to see progress in your strength and flexibility - start NOW! Pushups and squats are a great start.
Search topics like "HIIT workouts" or "stretch routine for dancers" to get started
Talk with current members and ask questions about tryouts and what it's like being on the team
During tryout week, work hard, practice the routines at home, attend the extra practices, and when it comes time to try out for the judges, give great energy!
If you don't make the team, please try again next year!
If you have any questions, please email head coach Kyle Mosler at kyle.mosler@mercerislandschools.org
