Math - Topic 10

This week we started Topic 10. The children are adding tens using models, hundreds charts, and number lines.

Writers Workshop

We started are working on our new unit - All About!

The children explored non-fiction texts and noted the parts of an "all about" book. We brainstormed with partners things we know "all about" and chose our own topics. Now we are organizing our information on Top Down Webs and sharing with friends.

Social Studies

Presidents

The children have been assigned a President Project. Rubric and directions are on the home page.

Pictures below are from our Mapping unit. We are looking at a giant map of Melrose to locate our streets. :)
