New to the idea of sandbox technology? Join the club! During our May 2022 meeting hosts Vasupradha Srikrishna and Iglika Ivanova led us through the basics of sandbox testing environments and we discussed how to teach about them in the media literacy classroom.

We've spent months (years!) discussing the complications of algorithms in society and this month we have a potential solution to consider! This month we discussed "The algorithm audit: Scoring the algorithms that score us," an open access article published in Big Data and Society. Whether you are teaching in K-12, higher ed, or a community setting, there is potential for this audit to enhance classroom discussions around solutions to algorithms in society.
