Vision
Lakelands Park media center will live its mission by encouraging learners, staff, and families to share their truth through discussions and creations. We will help to challenge our students to be critical thinkers, readers, and digital citizens. Stakeholder input will be encouraged in developing library programs, policies, and procedures. Collaboration will be at the heart of the library with learners working together, sharing diverse ideas and perspectives, and educators working in tandem with the school librarian, to enhance learning.

The Lakelands Park Media Center aims to create a space where ALL staff, learners, and families feel welcome, accepted, and valued, while encouraging creativity, brave conversations, curiosity, and a life-long love of reading.
Meet your Media Specialist
My name is Ms. Greco and I am your media specialist. Welcome to the library! I am so excited you to get to know you as a reader this year!
I was a 3rd and 4th teacher for 16 years in NY and Maryland before becoming a school librarian 3 years ago. I love traveling and hiking. My partner, Amy, and I live in Gaithersburg and enjoy spending our summers at the beach in Delaware where I work at a toy store. We also love going to see musicals on Broadway and rooting for all New England & Boston sports teams. I am an avid reader and have spent most of my summer reading all of the new Black-Eyed Susan nominees. I also enjoy playing board games and doing jigsaw puzzles.
I look forward to helping you meet your needs in the library. Whether you are looking for your next read, need help with research, want to recommend a book to add to our shelves, or have any other questions, please ask. My door is always open. This is OUR library. There is space for all of you here.
