Boardmaker on your Teacher Laptop
If Boardmaker is not yet installed on your MPCS Laptop:
School-based staff will be able to self-install. Type "Company Portal" into the Windows search bar. Launch the Company Portal and then search for "Boardmaker." You will be able to download and install it from there.
Non-school-based staff who do not have Company Portal available on their laptops will need to put in a help desk ticket to have the software installed.
Boardmaker on School Desktop Computers
Boardmaker is installed on all desktop computers in school. Look for it in Applications or Staff Applications
The first time you use it on any specific computer, you will need to complete the registration screen. See Quick Guide: How to Register Your Boardmaker Studio License.
If you have an NSBO laptop and need Boardmaker, you will need to request it through the Help Desk Portal.
Boardmaker does not work on Chromebooks
Boardmaker works only on a PC or laptop. To use it interactively with your students, you should connect to the classroom Promethean Board or Lightbox. It will not work on student chromebooks.
Home Use License
Boardmaker is available for home use on a PC. It does not work on a Mac or a Chromebook.
You must use the same name that you used to register your school license. Registrations that do not include full name, school, and program name may be deactivated.
Click the link above to download the file. Locate the downloaded zip file and right-click to Extract All. Then double click on the Setup.exe file to install Boardmaker.
You will need to enter the license number after launching the program for the first time. See Quick Guide: How to Register Your Boardmaker Studio License

If you are having a technical problem, please put in a help desk request AND email Linda Wilson with the following:
computer name you were using at the time of the problem (On a sticker on your computer - something like: 307-Z165-096)
what you were doing when the problem occurred (e.g.launching the software, saving a file, rotating a picture)
a screenshot of the error message, if any
