Jodi Fisher, Student Intervention Support Teacher
I am excited to be starting my 20th year here at Indian Mound Middle School. My role over the year has changed, but this year, I am super excited to not only work as a Student Intervention Support Teacher, but I also teach a class on the Related Arts Wheel for 8th Graders. Some of the ways I assist students to have academic success are:
AIM - Achievement Is Meaningful - An opportunity within the school day to get caught up on missing work in a small group setting during lunch.
SET - Student Extension Time - Offered during the school day, in a smaller setting to receive assistance with homework, test preparation, and organization.
GPA Monitoring - Making sure ALL students meet our GPA Requirement for Promotion
Serve on ALL grade levels teams to ensure students are receiving necessary support and assistance
Serve on a variety of school based teams to ensure a positive school learning environment
ACP - Academic & Career Planning implementation through 8th Grade Futures Course
I am very lucky to work with all 3 grade levels and assist students throughout their middle school years to develop positive academic strategies that ensure school success.
