Physical Education

Welcome to Physical Education Class

In the Physical Education portion of this class students will participate in a variety of different sports and activities. Students will learn the rules and strategies of each sport, as well as develop effective communication and teamwork skills. Units will include handball, soccer, floor hockey, cooperative activities, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, pickleball, flag football, and ultimate frisbee.  

In the Fitness portion of this class students will learn the five components of fitness, along with many different types of workouts, and exercise principals.  Students will set goals and create individual workout plans.  Content will include, but limited to, knowledge of exercise bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, dumbbells, and a variety of resistance training.  Additionally eight televisions are accessible for video guided workouts.
