Welcome Village School Families!

Summer Reading

Challenge yourself to read three (or more) books from different genres this summer. This might be a chapter book, a graphic novel, a book in verse, a picture book, or a hybrid book. You can find many choices/suggestions on the Summer Reading List that will meet this challenge criteria or you can choose a book that’s not on the list.

Genres:

For your summer project:

1.Keep track of the books you’ve read this summer using the chart on the next page. Bring it with you the first week of school.

2. Create a poster (8 1/2 x 10, regular size piece of paper) of the books you have read this summer. You can include the book covers/titles, a favorite scene or quote, and/or a picture of you reading in your favorite spot. You can create this the old fashioned way with markers, pencils, etc… or design it on the computer.
