BRIEF HISTORY

Founded in 1975, Xingfu Junior High School was named after the location, Fu-Xing Road. The school’s emblem is a bat which symbolizes “happiness”.

The first principal of the school was Mr. Wei-Chen Pan. His term of office was from 1975 to August 1980. ” During this time, he devoted himself to the establishment of the school. In August 1977 the 1st and 2nd stages of construction were completed and the school began to develop.

From August 1980 to September 1984, Mr. Ren-Te Lee served as the second principal. During this time students excelled in all areas due to his devotion to the students’ ethical, intellectual, physical, social and esthetic education.

From September 1984 to August 1988, the third principal, Mr. Chao-Cheng Chung, oversaw the establishment of the Student Activity Center. The school was continuously developing and was operating better and better.

The fourth principal, Mr. Ya-Wen Cheng, served from August 1988 until his death in November 1900. He dedicated his life to school affairs.

From January 1991 to August 1994, Mrs. Kuei-Fang Chu succeeded as the fifth principal. During this time, a new athletic track and computer rooms were opened.

The sixth principal, Mr. Tsung-Chen Chen, served from August 1994 to August 1998. He announced a new campus spirit—sincerity, cooperation, diligence and preeminence. Teachers, students, parents and the community together created a new Xingfu vision. He oversaw the opening of both the Physics and Chemistry Laboratories. The fresco “The Rising Sun Greeting The New” and the new walls added during this time improved the learning environment.

The seventh principal, Mrs. Hsao-Yeng Lin, served from August 1988 to August 2001. She dedicated to develop student-centered curriculum and recommended multiple intelligence and the 9-year Curricula Plan. She also led all staffs in the developing of school affairs, promoting teachers’ professional abilities, renovating school buildings and enhancing consensus among teachers, students, parents.

The eighth principal, Mr. Chien-Chi Chuang, came to the school in August, 2001. With the spirit of devoting and supporting, he brought educational innovation into the school, and continued to conduct multiple and exquisite activities. He also developed the school’s special features. With his professional knowledge and delicate management, he raised the school’s competitiveness. The ninth principal, Mr. Teng-Shan Chuang, joined this school team in August, 2005. In his term, the elevator was built and the first junior baseball team in Wen-Shang district was established. The tenth Principal, Ms. Fang-Mei SHiu, joined this school team in August 1st, 2011. In her team, she further developed the sport teams including baseball and taekwondo. The eleventh Principal, Mr. Cheng-Wei Xie, served from August 2015 to July 2019. He renovated two main buildings in the campus and invited a Non-Profit Preschool to work with this school.

The current principal, Ms. FU-XI, ZHUANG, took her office on August 1st, 2019. She promises Xingfu a fruitful prospect.
