Daily Routine for Reading instruction:

Sounds or Word cards (1 minute)
2. Blending cards (1 minute; if applicable- they will be included in the packet if your child needs them)
3. Decoding Practice: 1 page a day (5-7 minutes)
4. Story Book Reading: 1 Duet Story and 1 Solo story a day (12-15 minutes)
5. Activity Book Work: 1-2 pages a day (5-7 minutes depending on the page)

The videos show me "teaching" the first day of each Unit. I walk students through the new sound, the Decoding practice, the storybook and the activity book. *Remember I do not read the 2nd story that students are supposed to read independently (by the end of the unit at least).
