Years ago I had a crazy idea to turn my Bus into a coffee shop. Since it's already a Campmobile, most of the accessories going into a coffee shop would be the same for some modern camping equipment. This is my documentation of that journey.
This should have been the beginning, but I got ahead of myself and built the cabinets first and test fit them in later. Removed everything and and pulled the panels off and carpet out. The carpet is absolutely disgusting since it sat under a vinyl flooring for probably decades. I'll be picking out some cool vinyl plank flooring and putting that in soon.
Not my first time building plywood shelves, but this is a huge project nonetheless. The cabinet is WAY bigger then expected, even tho I measured twice.
The paint dudes at HomeDepot were super nervous about the paint swatch I brought in, but I told them I just need it close enough. I had an old rattle can of original paint and they took the color off the lid of the can.
So many coats of paint, so much primer, but I think it's gonna hold up well. In retrospect I probably should have used 1/2 plywood, but 3/4 proved to be incredibly stable and now I can cut all kinds of holes in it to fit all the components.
Cut a hole for the sink and once again, bigger then expected. I love the sink tho, huge basin, collapsible faucet and a "soap dispenser" hole to try and fit a glass rinser.
Mostly finished product. The sink is actually suppose to be undermount, but I didn't really have the space. The cutting board is suppose to fit flush with the countertop, but I think it works out great.
Test fit before I pulled the panels and carpet out. I was going to try and make drawer fronts, but I may just make some drawer pulls out of thick dowels. The "buckets" are Trofast from Ikea (from my last cabinet build, see the yellow cabinets from the Projects page) since I wanted to be able to pull the drawers out and clean them easily. Also, I made rope handles for the Trofast buckets so it's convenient when camping to just yank the drawers out and take them to the picnic table.

I went with a Renogy battery and inverter charger. Both pretty overkill for just running lights, but were on sale at the time. I am going to put USB ports new the Z-Bed (charge phones while camping) and put a bunch of LED lights around the cabin area and extensions to hang LED lights from the pop top area (mainly for the Coffee Bus part). I'll get some pics of the wiring and progress.
The water heater and espresso machine will be run from "shore power" (i.e. plugged into external power whether generator or an outlet). I'm installing a switch to swap between either or so that it won't be too much draw and blow my 20Amp breaker. The shore power plugin will also charge the battery as well as an isolator circuit will charge the battery while driving.
