Things to do

Kawartha Lakes

The Kawartha Lakes are interconnected lakes in the Trent Canal, a waterway connecting Georgian Bay in Lake Huron with Lake Ontario.

Our Greenwood Getaway is located just outside of Buckhorn with lots of great things to do just a short drive away.

Lock 31

The town of Buckhorn surrounds Lock 31 of the Trent-Severn Waterway.

Visit one of the waterfront restaurants or ice cream shops and watch the locks fill and empty with boats traveling between the lakes.

Buckhorn Berry Farm

During the summer months, visit the Buckhorn Berry Farm to pick your own strawberries.

Stop in at their shop for fresh produce, delicious homemade goods, or a famous Kawarthas butter tart.

Petroglyphs Park

Petroglyphs Provincial Park is a historical provincial park 30 minutes from the cottage. Pack a picnic then hike and explore the largest collection of ancient First Nations petroglyphs in Ontario.

Explore the Kawarthas

Rent a canoe or kayak during your stay and paddle Buckhorn Lake. Discover beautiful scenic views and interesting ecosystems along the shoreline.
