About Me

My name is Zack Beach, and this is my 8th year overall teaching and my 5th at Blue Ridge High School! I have absolutely fallen in love with the school and the community here, and there is no other school I would rather be at! I am a Greenville native and grew up in Taylors, SC where I attended Wade Hampton High School. I was a basketball player and ran cross country for the Generals in my time there running for SCCCTFA Hall of Fame Coach Rick Zeller. I was fortunate enough to go on to college at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, where I received my degree in Business Administration. I also was a member of The Citadel basketball team and served as player/coach/captain my senior year while playing for Coach Ed Conroy, currently at Vanderbilt University. After The Citadel I went on to be an assistant coach at Anderson University under coach Jason Taylor and the Trojan Basketball Team. I then moved on to the career work force and became a personal banker and lender at TD Bank for nearly 3 years. I always knew I wanted to coach and teach in high school and became a teacher candidate in the SC PACE program. I was hired at Greenville High School and served as a business education teacher, head cross country coach, and assistant mens basketball coach. Upon finishing the PACE program I received a job offer at my dream school Blue Ridge High! I previously served as business education teacher, and have since become a math teacher (best subject ever!!!) I have also completed my Masters Degree in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from Nova Southeastern University in 2021 Go Sharks! I am also Head Cross Country Coach, and Long Distance Track Coach for the Tigers here at Blue Ridge! I live in Duncan, SC with my wife Crystal who also works in Greenville County Schools, and my two children my daughter Arianna and my son Jackson who mean everything to me!
