I am so very excited to be teaching your children this year! We have 23 precious students in our class and we are going to have a great time! My goal is that each student learn to love learning and exploring within the classroom. This year each student will learn the basic skills needed to be ready for K5. The vision of Hollis Academy is: all children will be exposed to a well-established curriculum that encompasses ongoing assessment that guides instructional decisions; students will learn in a safe, friendly and nurturing environment where they feel welcome and eager to learn; the curriculum will be adapted to guide instruction, standards and research-based and strategically planned; faculty and staff will continue to be trained onsite with professional development opportunities that reflect observed and stated needs; instruction will encompass varieties of strategies including hands-on, interactive and engaging instruction.
