Thriving in third grade!

In our class we have been reading Non-Fiction texts. We have been practicing, during independent reading, how we can use text features to help us understand the text that we are reading!

Students enjoyed recording their findings on a class anchor chart with sticky notes! This chart is a good reminder of what we can learn from all different types of non-fiction books if we put out mind to it!

Walk at School Day was a success! We had so much fun getting to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather this morning!

The first week of the 2018-2019 school year has come and gone! It has been so much fun getting to know all of the new faces in our classroom! This week we have been playing some name games and working on team building activities to help grow our classroom community. We collaborated with group members to make paper chains and index card towers during some STEM lessons. We read some amazing books about kindness and compassion to jump start our year! Take a look at these amazing images that captured just a small portion of what we have accomplished so far!

Welcome to our class website! Here you will find all types of information about things happening in room 225! I will be updating weekly so be on the look out for fun pictures, important dates, and exciting memos from the year! Thanks for sticking around and taking a look!
