Students may apply for a $8,000 ($2,00 per year) Sirrine Scholarship by visiting the Sirrine Scholarship Application
website. The on-line applicant system is scheduled to open and all applications must be
submitted online by April 15, 2024.
Sirrine Scholarships are awarded for a maximum of four years for undergraduate study at a two- or
four-year institution. Sirrine Scholarships are renewable for a maximum of three (3) years, provided
the student maintains satisfactory progress toward the completion of his/her program of studies.
Renewals are not automatic; the student must reapply each year.
There are two (2) different applications for applying for the Sirrine Scholarship.
New Applicant – A student has never applied for the J. E. Sirrine Scholarship or has never been
awarded the scholarship. A student must be a graduate of the class of 2021, 2022, 2023 or 2024 in
order to apply for the 2024-2025 academic school year.
Renewal Applicant – A student is currently receiving the J. E. Sirrine Scholarship and is eligible for
renewal of the scholarship. A student may be awarded up to four years for undergraduate study at a two- or four-year institution.
The J. E. Sirrine Scholarship Program was established through the generosity of the late Joseph
Emory Sirrine. Mr. Sirrine left the bulk of his estate as a perpetual memorial to his father and mother to be used to assist deserving graduates of Greenville County public high schools.
