About me

Hello! I'm so happy to meet you!

Ever since I was a little girl, I've had something to do with music. I started playing the violin around 3 1/2 and the piano at 4. From elementary to high school I was a passionate "Fine Arts Kid" who was involved in art, school plays, chorus, and band. Because my school didn't have an orchestra, I was able to participate in the other Fine Arts programs and grow a deeper appreciation for other art content areas outside of my norm. When I entered college, music education was the major that stood out to me when I thought about having a career. I graduated with a degree in Music Education from Bob Jones University.

Having an extensive diverse music journey allowed me enter public education with 25 years of professional violin training, 13 years of dedicated piano training, and a heart that loves every aspect of Fine Arts. Whether you are a student or parent - when you walk into my classroom, I hope you can sense how much I love my students, how much I love sharing my passion for the Fine Arts, and how much I desire to shape lives for the better. I'm so thankful to be part of such an amazing, supportive Fine Arts department here at Woodmont High School and I am looking forward to this coming year!
