Welcome Letter

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members;

Welcome to a new year at Westcliffe.  My name is Sharon Roper and I have been teaching for 18 years. I have been a media specialist for 15 years. I received a BS degree from Clemson in Administrative Business and a Masters Degree from USC in Library and Information Science. I am very excited about teaching your students information literacy skills, helping them locate books they will enjoy reading, and building a love of reading. I would like to encourage and invite all parents to become an active part of their student's education by reading with your student every day and exploring the many books. I encourage you to visit our library afterschool with your student from 3:00-3:30 and checkout additional books to read at home. These will need to be returned in 2 weeks.  Hope you have a great year.
