About Mrs. Gilbert

My name is Ginger Gilbert; and I am a native of Greenville! I am a proud product of the Greenville County School District. I attended Lake Forest Elementary, League Middle, and Wade Hampton High Schools. I had other careers before I went back to school and received my Bachelor’s in Special Education and Elementary Education from Converse College. I have also received my Masters in Education Curriculum & Instruction: Reading with an Emphasis in Elementary Education (wow, long title) from Grand Canyon University. With my masters, I have also received my Read To Succeed endorsement.

This is my 10th year teaching. This is my second year as a Reading Interventionist; before that I was a Resource Special Education teacher. I am so excited to be working with your student; and giving them the extra support that they need to be a successful reader.

I have been married for 38 years to my husband, Kenneth. We have a daughter and two sons, a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law, one grandson and two granddaughters, another grand on the way, and two spoiled rotten pugs. In my free time, I love to see my children and grands as much as possible, and love on my pups.

Our annual beach trip! My most favorite time of the year!
