All About Mrs. Cook

Hello! I'm Virginia Cook and I am beginning my 9th year teaching, but my second year at Sara Collins!
I am originally from Georgia (Macon - home to the Allman Brothers and the best Cherry Blossom Festival!). I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, Go Dawgs! In the years after UGA, I moved to Charleston, where I earned a Masters in Special Education (intellectual developmental disabilities and emotional behavior disorders). I am married to my husband (Taylor), and we have two crazy kids - a boy, McKinley (4) and girl, Mia (2)! My two favorite things are the Georgia Bulldogs and Mexican food.

Here in Room 146, we have three incredible aides! Rich Kelly, Alicia Routly, and Felisha Meadows . They are three extremely dedicated and passionate individuals, who bring so much knowledge and experience to the class, both having spent plenty of time in the education field. Rich was with me last year, and has such a passion for our students! Alicia and Felisha are new to our class, but they are excited to jump right in. They are such a great addition to our classroom!Â
