Ms. Rodriguez

Yesenia Rodriguez grew up in South Florida.  Ms. Rodriguez is an alum of Southwest Miami Senior High School earning her a Silver Knight Nomination in Theatre 1997. She later attended Saint Thomas University earning a Bachelor’s in Human Services and Florida State University earning her Master’s degree in Theatre.  

Ms. Rodriguez has worked professionally at Miami Dade College as the Theatre Arts adjunct and as a stage manager for the On Stage Season.  Furthermore, she has been part of Glow Lyric Theatre for the past two years both on and off stage. Ms. Rodriguez been involved in theatre for over 18 years with over 25 performances under her belt and has been teaching professionally for over 14 years.  Her passion is theatre education and inspiring people of all ages with the wonders of performing and visual arts.

She has directed many shows including Little Women, Once Upon A Mattress, Harvey, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Game’s Afoot, Annie, 21 Chump Street.  She has done scenic, lighting, sound and costume design many of her shows.  Ms. Rodriguez has performed in several shows, plays and student directed films.  

As a director, Ms. Rodriguez wants to entice audiences with a moment for everything, “ a time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”
