College Readiness Exam (Act/ SAT)
All Juniors and Seniors should have received an ACT/SAT Choice Form at school on October 20th. This form allows students to choose one college entrance exam (ACT or SAT) to take for free this spring here at TRHS. The form should be completed, indicating whether your student plans to take the ACT, SAT, or no test at all, and return it to school by Monday, November 3rd. Completed forms can be turned in to the student’s 1st block teacher, the front office, or the guidance office. If your student did not receive a form or has lost their form, please email Lori Stowe, the testing coordinator.lstowe@greenville.k12.sc.us. This is a great opportunity for students to take a college entrance exam at no cost and prepare for their postsecondary goals.

WIN Work Ready Assessment- October 28 & 30
Greenville County Schools is committed to providing our students with Graduation Plus (G+), an initiative introduced by Superintendent Burke Royster. The goal of Graduation Plus is to ensure every graduate earns not only a South Carolina high school diploma but also an additional credential that enhances future college and career opportunities.
One of the credentials available to all juniors and seniors is the WIN Work Ready Certificate. This credential verifies essential workplace skills, including reading, writing, mathematics, and soft skills, and is recognized by employers across the state and nation. Many local businesses utilize the WIN certificate as part of their hiring process to identify qualified candidates.
The WIN Work Ready assessment consists of four timed, multiple-choice tests: Reading, Mathematics, Data, and Soft Skills. Students who successfully complete the assessment may earn both the Work Ready Credential and the Soft Skills Credential, which are valued by business and industry partners. This assessment is offered twice a year at TRHS- once in the fall for identified seniors who haven't taken/passed the WIN previously, and once in the spring for all current juniors. Both juniors and identified seniors will also have an opportunity to participate in the assessment during the spring testing window.
Testing Information:
Dates: Tuesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 30
Location: TRHS
Time: Students must report to their assigned testing location by 8:45 a.m. Testing will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
