About Me

I was born and raised in Nottingham, England, and I'm a graduate of The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, and Nottingham Trent university. 

I taught Music in England for 11 years in elementary, middle, and high schools. In 2011, my wife and I emigrated to the US, and settled in Simpsonville. 

I spent 5 years as a part time Music teacher and full time stay-at-home dad.  When my children were both in school, I worked as a substitute teacher, and combined this with a varied performing schedule, most recently with an internationally touring INXS tribute band. 

When I'm not teaching or performing, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching football (soccer). 

I'm excited for my 3rd year at GMA, to help my students have fun making Music, and to make real-world connections with their Music learning.
