Sept. 9, 2020- This week we have worked on creating speech folders. Most students have been given a monthly homework calendar for you (parent or homework helper) to initial the days that they practice. We circled the speech words they need to work on at the bottom of the sheet. If your child is working on language skills, just initial the days they practiced. Aim to practice three to five times a week. You can pick and choose which activities you would like to work on. Some students did not get a calendar yet, as I only want them to practice skills that they are able to do most of the time. In that case, I will let you know via a remind text message what they should be working on. At the end of each month, text me a photo of the calendar so your child can earn a treat or a prize at the end of the month. I ask that you keep the folder in your child's book bag so that they can add sheets periodically. I will not be asking them to bring the folder back and forth to speech class on a daily basis. Any papers that come home, I have taken care to use gloves to hand them out and only your child touched their papers. Please reach out if you have any questions.
