Meet Ms. Thompson

Dear Parents and Families,

I am excited about teaching at Blythe Academy and even more excited about having such an excellent Class. I aim to provide a positive and well-managed classroom that will benefit your child academically, foster a community of learners and support your child throughout the school experience. My educational philosophy is that every child can learn. Although there may be differences in how they learn, I am responsible for bringing out and encouraging the best in each child.

A South Carolina native, I grew up in Easley, SC, and attended Pickens County Schools and benefited tremendously from the public school system. My family supported and encouraged academic achievement, which inspired my love for learning. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I continued my education and received a Master of Arts in Teaching, plus 30 additional graduate credits in Early Childhood Education and Reading.
