I was born in Salina, Kansas, and that is all I know about Kansas (except for a girl named Dorothy and her dog, Toto). My father was in the Air Force so we moved a lot while I was growing up. I have lived in Texas, Germany, Maryland, and Alabama. When he retired, we settled in Boiling Springs, S.C.

I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I received a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Elementary Education from Converse College. I have also received a master's degree for Middle School Mathematics from Furman University. I have been teaching for 34 years, the last 24 have been in Greenville County at Hillcrest Middle School. The Virtual Program and Mauldin Middle School.

I have been married for 38 years to Barry Fox, we have two sons, Christopher and Michael. Christopher has been married for 12 years to Brandi and Michael married his wife Jordan in April 2018. We became first time grandparents in 2011 when we welcomed our granddaughter, Savannah, to the family, and became second time grandparents in 2017 when we welcomed our grandson, Jackson, to the family. We enjoy every minute we get to spend with our children and grandchildren! They bless our lives more than we could ever have imagined! I enjoy scrapbooking, shopping, and reading. Our family likes to travel, play games, watch movies, cheer on the Clemson Tigers, and go to Disney World.

As a teacher, I feel that each child has the right to an educational experience that meets their individual needs. Their education should equally balance each facet of their life and will aid in the development of a well- rounded adult who will be able to function in society. It is not the sole responsibility of the teacher, child or parents, but a joint effort between us. We must work together as a team in order to help your child achieve his or her maximum potential. Together we can achieve the best for your child and our school year. For us to work together as a team, communication is a must. If you have a question or concern, please feel free to contact me.
