Teacher Biography

Dear Students/Parents/Guardians,

Hi! Welcome to the 2017-20187 school year at Southside High School. My name is Terrie Haislop, (the students often refer to me as Ms. H). I will be teaching a variety of courses this year along with working with Occupational Seniors Transitioning into the workforce. Each student is unique in both personality and in learning strengths. I believe each person is born with certain gifts and I love meeting students and families to learn those gifts are and using those gifts to help them achieve their goals.

. I was born and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia and attended Clemson University where I received Bachelors in Special Education and a Masters in Education from Southern Wesleyan University. I am a Highly Qualified Special Education teacher in K-12 grade in both resource and self-contain settings. I have been teaching for 18 years and this will be my 7th full year at Southside High School. I do ask your child for their parental unit’s phone numbers and address to help them learn, but for me to be able to touch base with the parent for all the good and advice to help me encourage growth in their child’s education.

Please be mindful that all students administrator has been assigned per grade level.
