About Mrs. Alexander

"Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." -Frederick Douglass

I am a home-grown, Greer girl. Raised in South Carolina and a product of Greenville County Schools, I am proud to teach in the same town I grew up in. I began my teaching career in Oconee County after graduating from Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. While teaching kindergarten, first grade, second and third grades, I saw the need for a balanced literacy program that would provide my students with the strategies to become successful readers.

I have a Masters Degree specializing in Reading and an Education Specialist Degree specializing in Administration and Supervision both from Clemson University .

My family and I love watching Clemson football and baseball, spending time with friends and family, our church family, travel, and movies.

Go Tigers!
