It is a self-contained classroom.  I graduated from North Greenville College in 1986 with an Associate's Degree. I began work in the fall of 1986 at Washington Center as a teacher's assistant and a bus driver. In 1992, I moved with my classroom to J. L. Mann where I remained as a classroom assistant until 1999. In 1999, I accepted a position at Special Education Service as a job coach. During this time as a job coach, I returned to Southern Wesleyan University and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Intellectual Disabilities and Learning Disabilities. In 2009, I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a Master's Degree in Education. I am married and have 2 sons and a daughter.  My daughter gave me my beautiful grandchildren, Timothy and Madison.

I use a functional curriculum for my classroom. It is the Unique Curriculum. I teach any aspect that will help the students become contributing members in society as they reach adulthood. We practice time, money, community skills, socialization, leisure skills, etc. Please view the syllabus for more information on my class. You can go to the website www.n2y.com for more information on the curriculum.
