Learning through Dialogue

Getting the students to achieve a conversational knowledge of Spanish is always my main goal in class. After the students have learned their vocabulary they begin to construct mini-dialogues. Conversational google slides are on the board to prompt their dialogue structure. The students enjoy putting into practice what they have been learning. The students break into small groups to practice saying their dialogue out loud. Students get to switch groups and practice it with others. At the end the students can show off their conversational skills with a partner at the front of the class if they choose. This is an example of a conversation about shopping for clothes.
